AI Empower is an initiative to build an open source AI toolkit to support climate focused community-based organizations. The program includes training sessions, tools, and a support network that helps organizations integrate AI solutions in impactful ways, such as grant writing, data management, climate adaptation efforts, and community resource mapping. AI Empower also provides a framework for ethical AI use, encouraging practices that respect community needs and mitigate potential biases in AI deployment .
AI Empower was created in collaboration with community-based organizations and with the support of Unified Ground, CIV:LAB, and Haviland Software.
